Dr. Helen Harless, a graduate of the Marquette University School of Dentistry in Wisconsin, has been practicing dentistry since 2003. Dr. Harless spent her first three years as a dentist in the Air Force, treating servicemembers from all services and ranks, while working on her post-doctoral education learning advanced skills from dental specialists. After that, she dedicated almost two years to a not-for-profit clinic where she provided needed care to the underserved population in Fort Worth, Texas. Her main objectives were to help people get out of pain, improve the health of their mouth, and make the most of their smile and chewing function. Until this year, she then practiced in a private office in Dallas with a focus on same-day porcelain cosmetic and restorative crowns, veneers and onlays, sedation dentistry, smile design and reconstruction. She also keeps current with oral health care knowledge and technology to prevent overall health complications.
In 2010, Dr. Harless earned the Fellowship distinction with the Academy of General Dentistry by earning over 500 post-doctoral continuing education credits and passing a thorough exam. Only 7 percent of general dentists earn this honor. Dr. Harless is a member of the Idaho State Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
In her spare time, Dr. Harless enjoys yoga, swimming, helping her husband on the farm, and spending time with her stepkids when they are home from college.
